It is easily accessible with or without a 4WD. Built in 2012, the house was designed to accommodate 2 families (4 adults and 6 children) or a maximum of 8 adults.
Architecturally designed and eco-friendly, the house was built from light weight sustainable building materials giving the house a 6 star, eco-friendly energy rating. With its hilltop and north facing location, the island winds meeting the house from all directions. So don’t forget your jumper, as it can be cool on summer evenings. Fans are present in all rooms but are rarely required.
Another benefit of the house's hilltop location are the brilliant panoramic views that span Moreton Bay from Brisbane to Caloundra. Bribie Island and the Glass House Mountains in the distance, and below you Tangalooma resort and the amazing Tangalooma wrecks anchorage. The shipping channel which crosses Moreton bay is alive with boats, yachts, tankers and cruise ships.
Best of all are the stunning sunsets that fill the evening sky.
Inside the house, it is clearly architect designed. Open plan living upstairs with views from every room and all leading onto the large deck and the amazing views. Timber walls and feature-work, but what is particularly special is the kitchen bench top and dining setting. Made from Camphor Laurel wood, a rare and difficult to source timber. The kitchen is fully equipped, there’s a BBQ on the downstairs deck, and each floor has a family room, each with a large TV’s and blu-ray sound system.
The house is part of the Tangalooma Resort giving guests access to all resort facilities. It is a short 400 metre walk down to the resort, or alternatively use the provided electric buggy to access 2 dedicated parking areas in the resort. Enjoy the wildlife, with numerous bird species, and of course the dolphins. Explore the resort, go for a swim in the crystal clear waters of the bay or have dinner at the resort. Better still, prepare dinner at home while enjoying the view, and have a drink or two on the deck.
